So vexed was Beck at this treatment, that he appealed to a higher power, but to no avail.

And then I prayed. I thought about Billy Graham. I thought the leader of my church a lot. I thought about the teachings of Jesus. And gee, none of them really could break through because I was filled with a lot of anger.”
