A few weeks ago student radio organization, College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI) held its fall conference in Louisville, Kentucky, allowing college radio participants to participate in workshops, panel discussions, and meet and greets with other radio DJs and staff members.
As part of the conference, CBI also presented its 2010 Student Production Awards to students involved in campus television and radio stations. The radio winners included:
WKNC (North Carolina State University): Best Student Media Website, Best DJ, Best Regularly Scheduled Program (“First Friday”)
The Caravan (American University-Cairo): Best Documentary
KAOR (University of South Dakota) : Best Technical Production
KTSW (Texas State University, San Marcos): Best Station Promotion
WSWI (University of Southern Indiana) : Best Public Service Announcement, Best Promo
KUOM (University of Minnesota): Best Sports Reporting
WONC (North Central College) : Best News Reporting
WCRX (Columbia College): Best Newscast
WICB (Ithaca College): Best Sports Play-by-Play
KALX (University of California, Berkeley): Best Feature (“Northgate Radio”)
