I wandered about the “Sunday Streets” Valencia Street Fair in San Francisco yesterday, and quickly ran into the Radio Valencia booth, where those denizens of the FM deep were holding forth: Malderor and Dr. Junk (that’s Malderor on the left in the photo below; Dr. Junk on the right; Dr. Sleepless in the middle).
Malderor and company are among my favorite Radio Valencia bloggers (it’s great that Radio Valencia has so many doctors, BTW). Here’s another shot from the booth:
I asked Malderor where the group’s famous martinis were. “We figured martinis wouldn’t work while we were setting up,” he explained. A very prudent response.
Sorry I missed Radio Valencia’s DJ McSchmormack of the Gramaphoney Baloney show, who did a Trinidadian recording set in the studios, then a live set on Valencia Street.
“Saw you at the sunday streets today,” he later wrote. Next time say hello!
