Cellist Sebastian Plano appearing on radiovalencia.fm’s Gramophoney Baloney show last Sunday.
Hip hip hooray for San Francisco based cellist Sebastian Plano, whose Kickstarter campaign succeeded about four days ago. The goal was to finance the production of two albums: “Novel,” a collaboration with cellist Jeffrey Zeigler of the Kronos Quartet, and “Impetus,” a solo album engineered by Nils Frahm in Berlin.
Plano reached his $10,000 ceiling with the help of 244 backers. Part of the campaign involved appearing on Radiovalencia.fm’s Grammophoney Baloney show on Sunday with DJ McSchmormac, myself, and [gasp] my mother, who “traveled all the way from N.Y.C. just to hang out with D.J.McSchmormac,” the latter solipsistically reports on his blog (Rita also spent a little time with me).
