“We’ve heard from a lot of you, from both sides of this question, and have listened hard in trying to decide what to do,” the announcement post from KBOO says. “A personal appeal from Thom, in addition to the community support for his program, has pushed us to agree to offer a temporary 3-month, one-hour a day time slot to Thom Hartmann on KBOO.”
Hartmann has been on since last Monday. His first show was titled “The Taliban has finally shut down America.” A new Portland based station-in-the-works, KXRY (X-RAY FM) will also run Hartmann, it appears.
“KBOO is working closely with the new station to coordinate programming,” the KBOO announcement notes. “We will possibly carry the Thom Hartmann Show as a stop-gap until the new station starts up and begins to play all three hours. But we are open to your suggestions, and flexible in order to meet our community’s needs.”
