XRAY FM, Portland, Oregon’s new very low power FM radio station, is thanking all the folks who gave to the project’s Kickstarter campaign via a cascade of tote bags, t-shirts, coffee mugs and similar goodies. The station has even scheduled a “pick up day” for the prizes: Sunday April 27 at the Bunk Bar.
But: “If you can’t make it, don’t worry,” the update says. “We’ll send out the rest of the prizes by mail next week.”
A fundraising drive is scheduled for May. The station says a new website is in the offing. It will hold “archives of all of your favorite shows, a full show schedule, station news and upcoming events, and lots of love for our community partners.”
You can check out the current XRAY schedule here: lots of talk guys Carl Wolfson and Thom Hartmann, previously heard on Portland’s KPOJ (until Clear Channel turned it into a sports station); plus many music shows.
