In honor of National Radio Day today, I thought it would be fitting to share some photos from my recent college radio station tours. While vacationing in Boston, I was able to visit five college radio stations, each with its own unique programming and culture. Here’s a sneak preview of those visits through photographs.
The Gloriously Large Record Library at WMBR at MIT (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
EBOLA (record) in the Record Hospital Lounge at WHRB at Harvard (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
Office at WTBU at Boston University (Boston, Massachusetts)
WRBB Studio Basking in a Neon Glow at Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts)
Mural on studio wall at WMFO at Tufts University (Medford, Massachusetts)
To learn more about my visits to these five college radio stations in Boston, keep an eye out for my radio station field trip reports on Spinning Indie in the weeks to come. I also write about the culture of college radio every Friday in our weekly College Radio Watch column on Radio Survivor.
