As I cull through the week’s college radio news, I’ve been enjoying the sounds of AAIIEENN, DOPUR, and Godchilla performing live in Reykjavik. Foothill College radio station KFJC, where I volunteer and DJ, is about to wrap up day one of its 2 days worth of remote broadcasts from Iceland, complete with video stream. This is the 8th such international live remote that the station has done, with the 9th soon to follow next week from the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia. As the broadcast got started today, it was thrilling to hear the voice of a KFJC DJ speaking from thousands of miles away. Technology is amazing…
