In the midst of a Twitter conversation about radio station tours (yes, I tour stations for fun), Edison Research‘s Sean Ross directed me to a fun virtual tour of KJWL 99.3 FM (aka K-Jewel) in Fresno, California. From the KJWL website, one can click through a slideshow of pictures of the radio station in all its glory. You will get to see not only the cool neon radio station signs at night, but also photos of the studios, lobby, and radio equipment. It’s an attractive, modern space that also houses a 2000 square foot art gallery. The first Thursday of the month for Art Hop Fresno, the K-Jewel Art Gallery also showcases live music performances. A locally owned Fresno commercial radio station, KJWL airs a mix of popular music and dubs itself “Fresno’s number 1 listen at work station.”
Do you know of other virtual radio station tours? Or of other radio stations with an art gallery?
